Working Group A:
Female Leadership - increase female board members to change the society
~ Over 30% cover ~
121st out of 153 countries with a gender gap index; female manager ratio is 7.7%; female board member ratio is 6%. This is the current situation in Japan. As the world progresses toward gender equality, Japan is left alone.
In November 2020, Keidanren set a goal of "30% female executives by 2030" as part of its new growth strategy. Now that changes are rapid and uncertainty is increasing, it is our earnest feeling that we cannot wait for 10 years. In this working group, in order to accelerate changes in society and companies, we will approach various fields and carry out challenging activities so that women can play an active role as a central player in moving the economy.
